Luke Cooper is a surface human and one of the main protagonists of the The End of Days. A rugged outdoors-man with a rare sensitive spot, he has shown to be very resourceful and useful in trying times.

Biography

Pre-Timeline

Luke Cooper was born in the Tundra, living in a group of Nomads most of his early years. In his early twenties, Luke was conscripted into the Tundra Military to fight the Hill Clan. After seeing his fellow hunting nomads die in battle, Luke gathered what remained of his friends and deserted the Tundra military, receiving scorn from the Tundra for it.

Season 2

Luke's debut comes in the second season when he meets immigrant Stella, a migrant from the country of Estonia. Although he is rugged at first, he shows some gentler side to Stella, allowing her to accompany him on a hunting trip.

The trip is dangerous though, as the two become stuck on a frozen lake, attacked by a massive Tundra timber wolf. Stella gets trapped under the ice, as Luke tries to break her out, but is attacked by the wolf. He manages to kill the wolf with his hatchet, as he pulls Stella out from the icy waters.

After they get to camp, Luke claims Stella killed the wolf, to help her get the trust of the other members of the hunting group. The two sleep together the following night, despite Luke claiming he wasn't interested romantically.

After an encounter with scouts from the Hill, Luke realizes the danger of Daniel Jones was coming, and decides to sail west across Lake Erie to escape. The journey turns out to be disastrous, as most of the clan are killed by Drowners. Only Luke, Stella, and Raven survive the ordeal.

After another fight with Hill Raiders, Luke meets the main cast, and the two groups decide to travel to the Tundra Clan city together. He then talks to the city watch, trying to convince them of the looming danger. They don't believe him until the Main crew return, with a mortally wounded Raven.

Luke breaks down as the last clan mate of his dies, burying her in the city cemetery. He is comforted by Stella, and the two share a brief hug, before preparing for the invasion of the city that night.

Luke fights in the subsequent battle, killing many hill invaders with his crossbow. He eventually orders a retreat to the city keep, and makes his final prayers as he prepares to die in the battle.

However, the timely arrival of reinforcements from the Detroit Outskirts causes the defenders to get a second wind, and go back out and fight the Hill out of the city. Although Luke fails to kill Daniel Jones and avenge Raven, he survives the battle, planning to take the fight to the Hill next.

Season 3

Luke appears in Season 3, attending the funeral of Rose Charles. He vowes to make Daniel Jones pay, before preparing a plan to get revenge. He and Stella then accompany Ashley and Agrus on their mission to find and kill Daniel Jones.

Appearance

Luke is a man of average height, built beefier and usually wearing a brown vest. He has straight brown hair styled like a punk rocker, along with blue eyes.

Skills

Crossbow Master: Luke is shown to be very precise with a crossbow, able to take out targets from long distance with it. He kills many hill in the battle with it.

Relationships

Stella-Maris Merendi Luke has a strong relationship with Stella, forming a strong bond through the events they survive together. Although he has dropped hints on how he feels about Stella multiple times, he has never openly admitted to liking her, making their relationship non romantic for the meanwhile.
